The attorneys of The McShane Firm attended and completed specialized, DUI training held at Harvard School of Law this week hosted by the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD). This is just another example of the McShane Firm’s dedication to defending the citizen accused with the latest techniques and information. Out of all of the lawyers in Pennsylvania, only seven lawyers attended this invitation-only DUI training. Out of those seven, four are attorneys from The McShane Firm. In fact, the only attorneys from the Harrisburg area who attended this advanced training course were the attorneys from The McShane Firm.

- Advanced cross-examination
- Oral advocacy before trial courts and appellate courts
- Drug Impaired Driving Defense
The attorneys at The McShane Firm, have a reputation across the country as being some of the most highly trained in DUI defense. See more of their qualifications. The question is “Why are these trainings and certifications important to a citizen accused?” The simple answer is that there are many complex forensic, statutory, procedural, and technical issues involved in DUI cases.
Look at it this way: How can you challenge the administration of a breath test when you don’t know about the equipment? At the McShane Firm not only do we own the Intoxilyzer 5000, the Intoxilyzer SD-2, and Intoxilyzer SD-5, which are the devices the police use to administer breath tests, we are all certified as instructors of this equipment. In most cases our attorneys are certified at a higher level than the officers administering the test.
How can you challenge a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) when you are not up to date on the procedural regulations? The attorneys at The McShane Firm are all trained as SFST instructors as per the curriculum of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Once again, our attorneys are trained at a higher level than most police officers administering the test.
How can you scientifically challenge the results of of blood or urine test when you don’t have the proper training? The attorneys at The McShane Firm are all graduates of the National Forensic Blood and Urine Seminar.
Simply put would you go to a brain surgeon to operate on your heart? No one would. The same is true in the legal field. If you have an inheritance case, then call an inheritance expert. If you have an injury case, then call an injury expert. If you have a DUI case, then call 1-866-MCSHANE.
