Our right to own firearms is enshrined in the Constitution. It’s inalienable. It’s unquestionable. So why do the government, law enforcement and the media continue to turn law abiding gun owners into the bad guys?
Take for instance the statements of a police chief in Beloit, Wisconsin who said residents should let the police search their homes for guns. WHY?! Isn’t this an invasion of privacy to search for a perfectly lawful item?
Beloit, Wisconsin, police chief to residents: Let us search your homes for guns
Beloit, Wisconsin, Police Chief Norm Jacobs said residents ought to let law enforcement search their homes for guns, and he’s billing his proposal as a way to keep children safe.
“Maybe we’ll find a toy gun that’s been altered by a youngster in the house — and we know the tragedies that can occur there on occasion,” he said, Wisconsin Public Radio reported.
Not only is the chief’s “request” against the spirit of the Constitution, his rationale is baffling.
